Last year when we were treated to the Bob Ward character and his
expertise I thought that was a glimpse of heaven.
After this year's trip with you and then two other guides my opinion of
you has not changed. You actually let my Dad fish, hook, and reel up the
catch. And, you provide a place for him to sit. No sir, you are just the
most honest and funny man to do fishing with. And you are the only one I
can recommend. And I do that all the time. Just thought that you would
appreciate an "Atta-boy", so Great Job!

Arrived back in Colorado yesterday and just
wanted you to know the fishing trip with you was the highlight of our 10
days in Alaska. You made us welcome and comfortable, and went beyond the

an absolutely fantastic time fishing for halibut with you on the No
Problem. You showed us what Alaskan fishing is all about, the bonus was
the whales, bears and mountain sheep, puffins...etc., etc. that we saw

thank you on 2 days of fantastic fishing that will last me my son and
father a life time, we are already talking about when were coming back
up. the halibut made it home safe all 297lbs of it and we have been
eating it almost every night its great meat, hope all went good for you

Hi Bob,
Just wanted to thank you for the great trip we had with you this past
Friday. You kept us laughing throughout the day. Thanks for taking the
time to stop so we could see the bear and other wildlife. Even with
the stops, we were the first ones on the fishing grounds. "No Problem"
is one fast boat! Sorry for all the ribbing you took for all the salmon
heads we took aboard. We appreciate all the hard work you did to put us
on some great fishing spots. See you next year.

Captain Bob,
When we booked this trip, we were anticipating a trip that may or may
not produce halibut. Not to mention the fact that we were anticipating
a “fishing mill” so to speak. We were extremely happy with what turned
out to be a fantastic outing with great fishing, great fellow fisherman,
and a great captain to show us the way. Even though Melanie spent some
time in the cabin recovering, she did catch the first halibut and got
everyone charged up, she had a fantastic time as well. It was her first
time on any type of charter fishing trip and you made it a trip she will
always remember. As for me, I am still amazed at the amount of halibut
we as a group caught. It was a great way to spend my birthday and as
Melanie, will remember this trip for a lifetime. See you next time we
are in Homer.

Me and my friend had been talking about coming up to Homer and Halibut
fish for 20yrs. We both had heart by-pass and seems like ever year
something would come up. My friend turned 70 this year and I told him
"hey we need to get going" so we did June 14th.
I don't think there has been a day go by that we didn't talk about that
trip and we also said it was great to catch what we did but we both had
such a wonderful time with you Captain Bob you are a true gentlemen, and

Good Morning! My son, Harlan Whitlock, was out
on your boat with his Grandparents, on the 11th of July. He had the time
of his life! I just wanted to personally thank you Bob. I understand
that this is what you do for a living, but you made such an impression
on my son and really made him feel like a million bucks!!

Attached are a couple photos from the trip. We’ve decided our day with
A-Ward was hands down the most enjoyable aspect of our trip!
By the way, I had a business lunch yesterday here in Minneapolis. We got
to talking about Alaska. I was bragging about the hi-lite of our trip
being the Halibut fishing. It was the best day of the trip, hands down.
We really enjoyed the day and our conversations.

I just wanted to say thanks for helping us to have a great day out
fishing with you and Billy on August 8. We appreciated the professional
manner in which you operated your boat that day, and we were very
impressed with its cleanliness,too. My husband, Bill, almost gave up on
catching a halibut, until you encouraged him and got him motivated, and
as a result, we both had a fantastic time!
We have many great memories of your beautiful state, and fishing on the
No Problem with Captain Bob certainly rates very high on our list.
